Humanitarian Internships are a non-paid opportunity and experience to further the objectives of our organization. ECH Interns provide important stepping-stones toward self-sufficiency for the children under our care. This includes programs in Peru, Colombia, and Ecuador. In return, our Interns receive professional work experience and other requisites to help them progress in their future career goals.
The heart of an internship is focused on creating options and opportunities for our at-risk children and families in the communities and countries where we serve. ECH believes in empowering children through nutrition, health, education, and skill development to produce long-term poverty alleviation. It is imperative interns understand this objective and strive to exemplify these values in the work they will do.
As with any international travel, risks are involved, and it is important to be aware of your surroundings. ECH strives to provide a safe and secure environment for the children, staff, and interns. ECH has the right to remove any interns who do not provide a safe haven for the children under our care
After careful consideration of the requirements above, if you are interested in an ECH internship please contact laura@eagle-condor.org.
