Why Chose and Internship with Eagle Condor?

Internships provide important stepping-stones to self-sufficiency for the children under our care at our projects in Peru, Colombia and Ecuador.

Purpose:

The heart of an internship is focused on creating options and opportunities for our at-risk children and families in the communities and country where you'll serve. ECH believes in empowering children through nutrition, health, education, skill development and identity to produce long term poverty alleviation. It is imperative interns catch this vision.

 

Volunteering with Eagle Condor:

  • Live in the orphanage, children's shelter or community in which you serve
  • Length of internship may be geared around your schedule with a suggested 6 week minimum and longer internships encouraged
  • Basic Spanish preferred, but not required
  • Free time to explore your host country & community
  • Internship handbook, literature & pre-internship workshops
  • Constant communication with Eagle-Condor staff to reach personal and organizational goals
  • Eagle Condor Humanitarian Intern Program sends qualified individuals & couples to support children, families and/or communities to develop skills of self-reliance and sustainability
 

Internship Requirements:

  • Complete and send in Intern Application and fee available by emailing Laura@eagle-condor.org - Please carefully review Code of conduct and the liability form before signing.
  • $500 monthly contribution to cover operational costs.
  • Minimum age for interns is 19
  • Encourage family and friends to sponsor projects and children with Eagle Condor to help the children and community where you'll serve by submitting weekly posts for Eagle Condor's facebook page.
  • Interns are responsible for paying all travel and tourism expenses, including international and domestic airfare
  • Self motivated, flexible, must love children & have a strong work ethic
 

Safety:

As with any international travel, risks are involved and it is important to be aware of your surroundings. Eagle Condor Humanitarian strives to provide a safe and secure environment for the children, staff and interns. Eagle Condor has the rights to remove any interns who do not provide a safe haven for the children under our care
